At Gallery West.

The top half of my work is for the previous brief which was to illustrate two songs, 

I chose Mumford and Sons.

The bottom half were drawings I scanned out of my book and printed them out in A3.

The next couple blogs will be about the D&AD brief for Diesel i attempted.
I had to choose a band/artist, and two of their tracks and illustrate them (BASICALLY)
I chose Mumford and Sons, White blank page and Hold onto what you believe.

Drawings and lyrics.

Here what i was doing was looking at each line of lyrics and drawing what came to mind.

You'll see what I do with these flowers later on.

Mumford and Sons- Diesel project
Every time I would draw I would read the lyrics,
I think my downfall is I keep listening to the songs and looking at what I've done
and if i don't think it felt right i would keep drawing more to try and get it right.
So i have done two whole sketch books just full of drawings, so i have quite a choice to choose from.

I think i spent more time cutting out then i did actually drawing.

MY TREE!

Diesel project:

My photographs made into an actual tree.
So amazed I did it how I wanted it to look

I went out and took many photographs to try and capture the feeling i get from the band 'Mumford and Sons'
I thought all my photographs were very unsuccessful, but this proofs me wrong?
From this i got an idea for what my final piece might be like.
The Idea of having to collect loads of different pieces to connect them to make a picture as a whole?

First experimentation.

First experimentation for the Diesel project.
I cut out tree shaped and a drawing i did.
Then photographed it.
I didn't stick down the tree properly so they would hang over the paper so when i photographed it there would be shadow.

(I'll scan in the whole thing later)

Finished one final piece so far but what i'm going to do with it 

I am unsure yet.

These drawings I haven't used in my final piece.
